The air bock skit which was developed in for *2ZZ is installation possible.
* With the measurement by the flow test equipment, output improvement of approximately 5 horsepower is anticipated at supposition value.
* When this air box is installed, operation sound of the supercharger at the time of the full throttle largely becomes the eye.

Wheels look sweet.....look like my Cup wheels (Lotus Sport) with red pin striping and no Lotus stamped into Spoke..
BUT that Rear Diffuser looks like a Baboon's Bum....

Noel
Meant to post this awhile back, but never got around to it.

When I was in Tokyo last month, I went to a Lotus dealership out in the Tokyo suburbs, took alot of pain finding and was an eventual waste of time there. I can just order what I needed from here.

Just to expand, I spoke to the Lotus dealership about the Saclam airbox + full exhaust system on prices and there is not one cent discount regardless of whether you buy one set or 10 sets. Everything is build to order, Saclam told them, the exhaust system has an average wait time of 2 months! They must be severely understaffed or just take forever to weld some pipes together.

- Exige S Dry Carbon Airbox Kit - AUD$1500 [$500 price increase since I was there 1 month ago due to CF worldwide shortage! Blame Airbus for hogging everything!]

- Exige S Full Stainless SUS304 Catback Exhaust - AUD$1650

- Exige S Full Stainless SUS304 Exhaust Manifold (Header) + High-Flow Metal Catalytic Converter - AUD$1950

- Total package, not inclusive of shipping & customs/brokerage/BS taxes - AUD$5100 | Why is it so expensive? Rumor has it, it's affiliated, if not a division of M-Tec/Mugen Power - Some Honda diehard enthusiasts regard Mugen Power as the pinnacle of Honda tuning. Could be very true, the Saclam part numbers look identical to Honda/Mugen part numbers.

The wheels are Rays/Volks TE37s. A few of us have them. The red stripe is the limited edition Time Attack version that I was told weren't available in Lotus offset icon_sad.gif They are also slightly lighter and much cheaper than the Cup wheels (no Lotus tax).

Trust also makes a very nice exhaust for Toyota-powered cars. Unfortunately you can only by it at Japanese Lotus dealers. At least that is what local Trust parts dealers told me.

Good Japanese exhausts are works of art and usually work very well.

Yea...They look just like the 240R....I wanted/fitted only 240R gear from Lotus sports to my Exige Including 240R SC/ECU (5 injectors) etc.........cost was not the issue at the Time.....

PS: The Lotus Stamp on the Spokes (One on each wheel) does make it look Orig/cool......

You sure it's not HKS? AC Minds, perhaps the biggest parallel Lotus importer in Japan has this listed on their parts catalogue for the S2 Elise/Exige.

yes . its a bit obscure but i think i worked t out .

a ''storm trooper'' traditionally is the guy you have in your group whos the funniest and best looking icon_cool.gif . doc or zed be ours once they get their race licences .

so , when you are at bars and nightclubs ,you send the storm trooper over to hit onto the best looking group of ladies .. that then allows the other guys to mosey over and meet them after the storm trooper has worked his magic .

the link to your avatar ...... is to your usual loverlies on your avatar ... you are storm trooper to the AE boys and get those ladies in here for us .

am i right ? icon_razz.gif

thats EXACTLY what happened when i got the airbox from lee .

LMAO I'm flattered Rob. I don't know how long it took you to come up with that, but unfortunately, your answer is wrong.

Anyone else wanna take a stab at the answer on my "unusual" avatar? -minus those guys that I've already told at Wednesday's pizza night out.

BTW, here are the specific dimensions for the 240R Cup wheels.

Front - 16 x 7.0J | PCD - 4 x 100mm | Bore Diameter - 65mm | Offset - +31mm
Rear - 17 x 8.0J | PCD - 4 x 100mm | Bore Diameter - 65mm | Offset - +38mm

and i was sure . didnt take long , as its true . as we always had a stormtrooper with us at uni . he rarely missed . he could talk and dance up a storm .

we had a stormtrooper with us at thredbo last weekend too . he convinced a sweet young thing who was by herself and at thredbo for 1st time to ski with us for the afternoon and even called her a '' thredbo virgin '' . unfortunately she turned out to be a kiwi and we lost so we didnt follow her up for sunday skiing .

GNS dry-carbon intake kit. Good for 10.6ps, which is approximately 8-9bhp. Yet another fine product from Japan for the 2ZZ-GE NA and SC application.

Bodyshop Kobayashi (BSK) has more serious stuff for the S2 and S1. Since I'm S2 bias, I'll only show the S2 stuff. If you follow the main URL, you can find S1 stuff as well. Just some of their unique goodies;

Reduce half the weight on body clams, front & rear available.

I love this rear bootlid, comes in fibreglass or dry carbon. Too bad, you can't run the OEM wing, otherwise I'd have ordered it in a jiffy.

Their exhaust system configuration for the 2ZZ-GE, look at the masterpiece manifold design, impressive!

I can't read that language that is on their web site...
When it reduces the weight by half... What are the weights exactly?

The parts seem pretty light when they are off the chassis.
Noel
Front clam - 14KG reduced to 7.6KG
Rear clam - 24KG reduced to 11KG
Rear bootlid - 8.7KG reduced to 3.5KG

BSK mades manufacturing reference comments that it uses the same autopreg process as Ferrari on the F40 and Challenge Stradale (CS) models.

Don't need a price translation? In short, very expensive in any language.

Noel you might as well buy the engine cover and the massive rear spoiler, it will help you get the power down.
Noel
-minus the OEM spoiler design on the Exige, everything I've seen so far looks fugly. [ducks for cover]

There is light at the end of the tunnel for non-747 inspired owners though, the 2-11 OEM adjustable spoiler is an option, just need to have a physical visual comparison of the 2 rears side by side on retrofitting feasibility.

Or someone can come up with adjustable angle brackets for the OEM spoiler. [This one is more vaporware though]

No thats a sequential shifter, faster changes for Noel ?
Noel
Nah, I'm looking for an AT conversion instead, maybe a SMG/DSG-gearbox retrofit. Struggling to use a MT box.

Hello Rob check out this vid of clam hinge installation, speed up alot, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8k32DetxV2w

I wonder if the hinge would make for more squeaks ?

Sequential shifters are about $2k

teh clam hinge is a great idea .. have seriously thought about doing it myself ... but at circa $2500 aud landed - its not really worth it ...

how hard can it be to build one !!

barry , why dont you get one and test the waters for us all ? sounds like it should be OE .
tang0au
i'll get around to building one i think ... no way i can justify 2500 for one ... currently it only takes me about an hour to pull the rear clam off ... this is mainly due to the ecu now being in the 'trunk' and has made cabling a little more of a pain to unplug stuff ...

but reducing that to 20 mins would be awesome !

thanks for the link . that should be a standard mod for everyone on AE . hadnt really considered it before . but 15 hours is a long time ! note the wife popping in from time to time and the regular reading of the instructions :]

Clam hinge is $1100 USD + $200 USD postage = about $2000 AUD

Lotus should have it as an option.
